Oh no I didn't mean that issue was Japan specific in particular, but just that sexual abuse in general (hence the "any of this") is something Japan is very touchy about discussing openly.
If anything I'd say the male wotas are almost in the moral highground comparatively. While they might rather brutally shame female idols for having romantic or sexual relationships, that's a far cry from letting a lecherous old man get away with abusing young boys.
