So yeah, here's a Ghoul update. I sat down and figured out more or less what this is going to be about. Nothing big, nothing dramatic. Just kinda chill I suppose. I'll give it a try, see if I can write anything which doesn't involve magic and violence and shit. Should be a good trial run for learning to develop character interactions without a life and death atmosphere. Oh, and ghouls have crazy long tongues in my head cannon. No idea why, it's just a concept that's gotten stuck in there and I can't get it out. I write about it before I remember that the encyclopedia never mentions it, and can't be fucked un-writing it. Long tongues are hot.

“I don’t know,” you reply, “But I certainly don’t care to find out, that’s for sure.”

“Oh, that key? It’s a key that opens the door to a windmill that resided in a distant village, far away from here.”
>”Why would a windmill need a key to get in?” Sharya wonders in disbelief
“A ghoul hid her heart within the well inside.”
>”A…ghoul?” Sharya says, busy trying to process exactly what you meant by your words
>”Why would a ghoul hide her…heart? In a well? And how can a ghoul live without her heart anyway?”
“Well,” you begin to tell her, “She used to be a human girl, who fell in love with a human man, much like myself.”
>The smile that slowly cracked on your face begins to find as you continue to say,
“But, he didn’t love her...at least, not in quite the same way.”
“One day, he and his friends took advantage of her, murdering her once they were through.”
>You hear the lamia gasp as you tell her
“Despite her grief and sadness, she wished more than anything to continue living, even willing to give up her broken heart to do it. That was her final wish before she died.”
>You continue to tell her that a lich revived the girl, but in exchange, her heart was removed from her body, making her reborn as an undead ghoul
