Ok, let me explain then that death is cheap only in the sense that it can be undone to a degree. You still have to become an undead, and depending on the circumstances it is not easy.

For men to become undead incubi for instance it requires a monster girl wife to provide the required mana sacrifice, plus Hel's cooperation, plus a necromancer of sufficient skill.

For women its easier (since they can monsterize, unlike men who must have their essence production capacity restored), as all that's required is that they have died with strong regrets, that their soul hasn't yet moved on to the next world, and that their body be exposed to sufficient amounts of mamono mana.

So death still has weight to it, especially since you can't come back as the same type of being as you were before.

Ghouls. They look pretty metal, just imagine one in a t shirt and headbanging. It works so well, plus they're undead so it helps with the theme. They'd totally be groupies for such bands.

So what the fuck is up with Ghoul anatomy anyways? Is the red stuff a natural skin color, or some sort of clothing, or straight-up blood? And are those little white things on their neck and shoulders area just scales, or jewelry, or straight-up spikes of bone sticking out of the skin?
