Does coming to /jp/ keep you sane?

I was writing a long and wordy response to a rare /jp/ thread that genuinely belonged in /jp/ when the thread disappeared.
I'm not going to let my five minutes of scrawling bullshit go to waste, so here is the shit:

It's difficult to relate to people that much more powerful than you. Rather than making such a character the lead, he has them in a supporting or antagonistic rollr, where being strange and confusing can sometimes be a good thing.

Having these same characters be foreigners is just one more way to make them seem just that much more different from the reader.

Please excuse the rudeness of my boardmates, OP. /jp/ is a very hostile board of introverts who want nothing more than to be left alone by other boards. Our board is 90% visual novels and Touhou, neither of which are anime. I understand how you would not understand the difference, so I am clarifying that our board subject matter is not anime. /a/ is for anime, /jp/ is for visual novels, idols, Touhous, fleshlights, and other things like that. So if you would be kind enough to delete your thread and move on, I think it'd benefit us all.
