Honestly, if you want to play the Project Diva games that's the easiest crash course of Miku history.

If not you can still listen to the OST and just skip songs if you don't vibe with them after a minute.

If you do that it's a running start. Besides I think you're best just randomly listening to people and different loids until you find one you like and dig into them deeper. If you like a specific vocal, follow that one for awhile until something else catches your interest.
