Hey /jp/,

I feel absolutely swamped with all the grammar in the japanese language....

I always thought I was very proficient with languages. I was born with english, learned german before i was 10, then i moved to french and spanish began at age 16. I'm 19 now and I've been studying japanese for two semesters (almost done with second, i should say).

I can't seem to sort out the parts of speech and uses of particles, etc...

How did you proceed through the language learning process for japanese (if you can speak japanese, that is)? Can you give me a brief (or extensive!) timeline to kind of give me a push?
