The default INI scores you get from character creation with the default races is fine for everything in the game. So an INI score of around 300-400/50-100 is in the normal range and allows you to get a decent amount of AP without having to sacrifice much to get it. My character has capped skills and has gained his fair share of AP without changing his INI score. I have no intention of changing his INI score with the NPC in South Tyris and probably won't use them on my pets either.

Mainly because their attributes and skills are already high and I don't want to sacrifice those to lower their already normal INI scores. Kinda see the service really to be used for pets with high INI scores and before you begin any actual work on them.

Only things I really stash away these days are wonder scrolls, gain material scrolls, gain attribute scrolls, potions of potential, potions of cure corruption, growth scrolls, treasure maps and material kits.

Earlier on you want to stash away god offerings. Like guns for Mani, bows for Lulwy, gems for Opatos and Jure, jewelry for Yacatect, rods for Itzpalt, fish for Ehekatl, etc. So once you finish one god you can just bomb the next with offerings and proceed through the god rewards quickly. Oracle scrolls are nice early on for quick gold and as a trading tool for getting stuff off of adventurers. Don't really need to stash them later on.
