The sound of rain continues all morning. I see Izumi-neesan off as she heads to school for student council work. The rest of us continue to enjoy vacation. The summer festival is tomorrow.

I greet Yae and Ema at the door. They're up early to get ready to open the shop later. Ema is worried that the rain won't stop.

They both thank me for breakfast which I made for everyone early since I had to see Izumi-neesan off. They comment that Mikoto-neechan has become a great chef, a lot better than they expected in so short a time.

Hmmmm? With everyone so good maybe they don't need me to cook breakfast for them anymore.

'That's not true nii-san' Yae says, 'Your cooking is always the best'

'That's right, I love it too,' Ema says with a smile.

I'm so glad to see my younger sisters smile.

Ema asks if she should get ready for the festival today. I tell her the rain will stop in time and both she and Yae should get ready. It'll be all right, I tell them both although the two of them look very worried.

I'm worried myself, the weather report said it would rain clear through tomorrow. We eat breakfast to the sound of rain.
