I finished Owari no Kakera, the first Persona 3 LN.
It's set one month before the start of the game, and Akihiko is the protagonist. He gets his own love interest for the book named 時任亜夜 (Tokitou Aya). She's the former boxing club manager and she loves him in a please-notice-me-kouhai way.
For the first three quarters the book basically follows this pattern:
>1. Funny lighthearted situation
>2. Akihiko falls over
>3. Akihiko accidentally touches Aya's boobs
>4. Mitsuru kicks the shit out of Akihiko
>5. Repeat from step 1
To be perfectly frank I found this section a little boring.
The last quarter of the book is a cool fight scene. This section was actually pretty good and it made me happy I stuck with the book.

If you're a big Persona 3 fan or just looking for some decent studying material I'd say pick up a copy. It's a fun little romp for what it is. There aren't any illustrations though so don't buy it if you don't know Japanese.
I ended up rather liking Aya and think she'd be a cool eraMegaten character if not for the flaw that only like twelve people know who she is.
