I think it's due to the lack of plastic. Cloth diapers do feel similar on the inside, but they just don't have that extra layer of waterproof. Of course, the tradeoff is the amazingly loud crinkle, but I prefer disposables anyway.

The compromise is cloth diapers with plastic pants. Of course, some don't like the extra laundry...

Sometimes it's not always fetishistic in nature. At least for me, it's like all your stress and troubles melt away when you're wearing one, and you can truly relax. Not for everyone, though.

As much as I enjoy diapers, I see no reason to talk to people who are unwillingly incontinent that way. Learning to enjoy life no matter what situation you are in(life, lemons, lemonade) is excellent, but not everyone has a will to do so.

But yeah, seriously. Depends suck. Getting more effective briefs will make your life easier.
