What if you find a job more related to your interests? What if you use that money to get a teaching qualification and go and teach English in Japan? I've heard some people even teach it part-time. If you did that, you could have time for your hobby, you would be in the place you love, and you wouldn't need to fly to Japan just to go to a ktk handshake. You might lose weight in Japan too, as some other people have due to smaller portion sizes etc.
