I'd recommend either a Seagate, or Western Digital external hard drive. I have one of each, and both have worked like a charm for a couple years now.

If I were you, I'd burn what you can to dvd as well as archive to an external drive.
...Maybe I'm just anal, but it's nice to have a backup incase something happens to your original and/or backup
