not really, most grinding you do to get materials for your workshop/items/armors/upgrades or sometimes if you cant beat enemies. and this SRPG rather than MMO, so yeah. for quick comparison think what would happen if Fire Emblem and Atalier series would be merged for what kind of experience this is.
