it depends
if you're certain something comes from (digi)gra then you can look on the gravure sites like x-idol to grab the sets
but sometimes they're just random standalone shots from a studio or specific work or even the management agency.
from my research, your picture comes from VRKM-712. a lower res version is included in the official screenies so if i had to guess, your higher res version was from twitter or their website? JAV is notoriously bad for stuff like this; clearly high res versions of pictures exist somewhere (along with textless covers etc) but they're not made available except in those instances where the intern randomly posts them to social media or something
hagchads have this issue with MADOOOON!!!! headshots

Very nice post, sir. I'm pretty sure I've read/responded to this before but after thinking about it even more deeply, I think I've found another way to articulate the same concept I suspect we're both observing. Do correct me if I've misinterpreted your argument, though.

It feels like actresses have characteristics that usually are best expressed in a specific given window of their lives that differs on a case by case basis. We often think of it as an actress in their "prime" or "peak" but rarely is it married to any consistent sense of age. As you rightfully identify, a loli(bait) actress will see their "it-factor" and USP most potently realised upon debut. However, they are likely already at the zenith of that particular expression; it is unlikely they will acquire greater loli-ness with time and will need to adapt to classmate/childhood friend roles (i.e. as a peer of the MC without any significant conceptual contrast by virtue of appearing notably younger) and eventually even big sister('s friend)-type roles instead. But, this transition in itself recognises they are no longer exhibiting their original and inherent boon that made them a standout in the first place. The window for most optimally transmitting the characteristic(s) has now passed and was probably short-lived (unless you're Tsubomi).

On the other hand, inherently more mature traits seem to be, perhaps ironically, much more forgiving in their deterioration and with a far greater margin of retention. If we attempt to visualise this with a life cycle curve (not for appeal in a general sense but for maximum discernible and appreciable emanation of an actress' best inherent characteristics), we would see a much flatter, gentler curve overall. In contrast, the loli(bait) may exhibit a much narrower peak and a more sudden loss in trait expression. I believe you implicitly reference this phenomenon in your writing. In some cases, continued maturation can even further enhance the existing mature traits like a savoury food product becoming even more flavorful with age. This process is difficult and rarely seen if the actress in question predominantly exhibits a more immature look as maturation will only serve to diminish rather than enhance in such cases.

However, exceptions always exist and you may get actresses exhibiting a "second wind" or "second peak" where, after the appeal of their original characteristic transpires, are able to reinvent themselves and acquire another characteristic or perhaps just maximally capitalise on a previously unnoticed characteristic that emerges/becomes more pronounced with time and aging. If we ignore more extreme cases facilitated mostly by transformative plastic surgery, I can only think of Iroha Natsume (formerly Sarasa Hara) and Hibari Hijiri (formerly Hijiri Maihara, Sena Maikawa, Mai Kawase, etc) where they were able to flourish even after their initial defining characteristics were lost and altered with the passage of time.

Another analogy to illustrate this might be considering different fruit, their individual traits and how they are best expressed on the timeline of ripeness. Not only are the desired characteristics of apples, oranges, bananas, and avocados all different, they each reach the most ideal expression of these signature traits at different times and for different durations. Apples and oranges seem to stay at an ostensibly "perfect" level of ripeness that best expresses their refreshing sour-sweetness far longer than a banana and certainly when compared to an avocado which seem to go from perfect to bad in a matter of hours. Even then, the flavours of an apple are very different to the citrusy execution of an orange even if both are some combination of sourness and sweetness. Accordingly, they also reach their ultimate zenith in flavour at different stages in their maturation. I think this is all extremely comparable to how AV actresses experience their zenith and downturn, and for how long their best characteristics unique to themselves remain optimally and maximally viable and discernible.
