I assume his general unpopularity is because he's sort of like the Japanese equivalent of the Minecraft streamer "Dream" when it comes to his fanbase. His fanbase are a bunch of mentally ill fujos who do nothing but worship him and lash out at people who think he's not that interesting. He's not a bad person, just kind of exceptionally boring and sort of guilty in making a cult around him.

People say Matsuri is menhera, but she's really only like that on camera. Gundo's kind of a nutjob in the sense that she actively catfishes men and strings them along, was involved in the Roa incident (they used to be a duo, but she gave Roa the cold shoulder after what happened with her and Meiro). She also frequently drops her character and phones it in to the point where she just whines for hours on end. Started hiding her like / dislike bar on videos.

I'm guessing a lot of people just think she's boring and doesn't deserve her success, she's really such an inoffensive figure that it wraps around to people thinking "SHE'S AT ONE MILLION SUBSCRIBERS AND YET SHE ONLY GETS <10K VIEWERS SHE'S BOOORIIIIIING" numberfag types, along with being the one to bring Coco back into the fold in Hololive.

Also, in case you guys didn't know, Narukami Sabaki is the JP equivalent of WooHooLad, his entire gimmick is making narratives, clickbait, and relaying vtuber gossip, all under the guise of proclaiming that he's doing it to root out injustice and unfairness in the vtuber community. He got famous via his coverage of the Kizuna Ai situation, but threw his reputation down the toilet when he accused Peanuts-kun (that weird Peanut vtuber you may have seen before) of being a corporate plant, when he's actually just a normal indie vtuber. This lead to Peanuts-kun and Ponpoko (another vtuber who I think is either a very close friend or his girlfriend) getting harassed by Sabaki's fans until they pulled out the receipts showing that they were indie, Sabaki backtracked and made one of the most insincere apologies of all time (effectively to the tune of "I messed up, but my intentions are still noble and just, so you two need to do better at being indie") and was dogpiled on so hard he had to private the video. He also made a video accusing Cover and Mori Calliope of using viewbots and astroturfed accounts to make her music popular, but he got cold feet and never uploaded it after people went after him on Twitter.
