Once upon a time in Japan circa 940 AD, there was a big damn centipede laying waste to the countryside or something. It was so big it could wrap around a mountain seven and a half times (pic related).

Fujiwara no Hidesato (Mokou's his great-great-great-great aunt) was on his way to some historically important battle when he was accosted by the dragon king.

"Hey," said the dragon king, "This centipede's kicking my ass. Help a brother out."

So Fujiwara no Hidesato slayed the monster centipede, as heroes do. The overjoyed dragon rewarded him with a neverending bag of rice as well as a bunch of other cool loot. Ever since then, Hidesato was known as Mr Rice-bags.

And they all lived happily ever after, the end.
