/jp/ - Otaku Culture

Why are we still here? I've never been to /vt/, but since vtuber discussion technically has had their dedicated board for over a year, how has this board survived here on /jp/? I know /vyt/ is still here, but it's the same kind of question. Isn't this just a brony situation, kind of? You barely ever see ponyposters anywhere outside of /mlp/, let alone have a general. Is it because /vt/ is less attached to Japanese culture, is more of just vtuber shitposting, and because meido still allows it?
No, I am not trying to make anyone leave /jp/, just curious.
