I feel like there's a lot to reflect about things like that, but anon is too eager to turn it into some fanbase war instead of trying to look at the scene in a little more objective way.
Like, in the scenario that the fad "dies" will it really die or just fall in place with how a great deal of active channels on youtube work (slow growth over years)? The latter might be applicable to bigger channels and some independent ones who don't quit, but what about livestreamers in general? I mean, common sense would tell you that videos would be prevalent to livestreaming because nobody would sit their ass on a chair for hours straight watching a dumb anime girl live, but here we are. The thing is, would livestreaming still be viable viewership-wise in a scene that doesn't bring in neither many new viewers nor new entertainers or would the japanese just move on to other things?
