Jesus fucking Christ, this is the most overrated piece of fucking shit I have ever come across in all my time on the internet, and I've seen a lot of shit.

Masterpiece? MASTER FUCKING PIECE? Tell me /jp/ have I been trolled? Is this the VN equivalent of Jenkem? I know you're all fucking autistic but I didn't think you were this bad.

The only good thing about this franchise were the BETA designs. Some of them were genuinely intimidating. That's literally the only good thing I have to say about this fecal trifecta. If you thought this was good, you need to fucking euthanize yourself.

so let me get this straight
we are not allowed to play this game in english for years to come.
Pirates will still pirate it or maybe even more people will pirate it now because we have to wait while others already play this game in english and even shove screenshots in our faces
what´s wrong with this shit?
Thought translations are being done so that more people understand it and are going to support it afterwards

It's time to tell the truth: Muv-Luv Alternative is a pretenstiously talky game that thinks military otakuism is still "in". The "game" consists of:

50% exposition and Evangelion-like technobabble.
20% slice-of-life type chatter and joking around.
20% shallow personal discussions which are used as a vehicle to convery a range of military-fetish phillosophies.
10% combat and mission briefings.

While the slice-of-life content was ironically better than most of the other content, I found myself fighting the urge to ctrl through the gigantic reams of Yuuko's exposition. You could have cut out half the game worth of exposition and not really lose anything.

The story arcs themselves were mostly good, when the game allows itself to actually progress through the plots. When it tries, it's able to capture the mood and energy of a scene perfectly, and in the few battle scenes it's easy to see how you could call this the Hollywood blockbuster of VNs.
