How is Sakuya a jerk?

She might have been a bit cold and such before the EOSD events, but after that she has soften up and is just a overall nice person.
You can even read about it at her page in "Strange Creators of Outer World."

I can't think of a situation where you'd have to explain what Touhou is to a normie,

I have some friends that's somewhat into nerd stuff and anime(I guess you could call them normies) and I've never been in a situation where I had to explain what Touhou is, if they would see me play it I would just say "It's a bullet hell game".

I noticed that one of my friends listened to "Bad apple" and he thought it was a good song, but was not at all interested in Touhou and my nerdiest friend know what Touhou is, but does not really appreciate it and therefor we do not talk about it.

And I can't see a situation where I'd had a conversation about Touhou with a random person(outside the Internet that is).

I actually think it's somewhat similar to Warhammer, you just don't really talk about it outside the community.
