this is bern we're talking about, i wouldn't put it past her for that to be like the exact odds of lion existing in the exact way that lion is in that story, with natsuhi and krauss as the parents while kinzo's alive and kyrie still killing everyone included
that plus when you're talking about an infinite amount of fragments, odds are a little weird - search in the right places and you'd be getting completely different odds from starting at the baseline with yasu as she is and slowly trawling through irrelevant fragments to get to the one you want, which i would once again not put past bern to do as part of her whole 'villainous bitch' routine
you have to remember that bern is hamming the FUCK out of that situation, she's deliberately trying to fuck with lion and ange by putting the worst possible scenarios in their heads, with lion barely ever existing because her mother doesn't love her in billions of possible timelines and ange's family being a bunch of heartless bastards who'd kill the rest over a bit of money as the 'concrete truth', despite both having potential outs it still plants that negative in their heads
