Kamite is a desktop program intended to aid learning Japanese through immersion in native media (manga, anime, visual novels, etc.). It helps extract Japanese text from those media into a local web interface, enabling its lookup using pop-up dictionaries such as Yomichan and websites such as DeepL Translate or ichi.moe. It offers integration with mpv and Textractor, among others. It lets you easily edit and transform the extracted text and can forward it to user-defined websites and external executables.
