To clarify a bit more, all monsters seem to have a basic "compatibility" sense of sorts that keeps them from trying to claim a man who is fundamentally not a good mate for that individual, as well as a way to tell if they have spotted a man who suits them especially well (apparently seeing such a "destined" mate makes their womb throb).

Mana markers are an additional measure men can take if they want to be claimed by a particular species rather than just any individual monster who would get along with them well in a relationship. This won't outright make it impossible for monsters of other species to go after him (if her feelings are strong enough then nothing is going to stop her), but it does deter more casual interest and perhaps more importantly serves as a beacon to outright attract unmarried individuals of the desired monster race from a substantial distance.

I always thought the easiest way to have drama in the MGE is to have a plot deal with the conflicts between different pro-monster factions. Maybe the Church of the Fallen God is planning a magical ritual to translocate your favourite placid kobold-and-holstaur light green demon realm into the depths of Pandemonium. Maybe the Mist Continent is planning another invasion of Zipangu and the local ninetales doesn't fancy the idea of becoming Empress Ren Xiongmao's Yuri handmaiden. Hell, write a fucking spy thriller where Dragonia and an Ice Kingdom are trying to convince an unaligned monster-friendly border city to join either one of them, first by sending sex tourists to try and convince the populace that Dragons > Glacies or Glaciers < Dragons, then dirty tricks like sending their hottest operatives to captivate prominent local citizens or something bcontracting tanukis to manipulate the economy, culminating in pitched battle full scale rape army invasion unless the hero can defuse the situation.
There's much fun to be had.

Lescatie was an extreme event, the loss of it humiliating for the Order. But their attempt to reclaim it was even more humiliating. It's fair to say they've cut their losses at this point, since Druella has made no further moves against them since.

And I never said they weren't at war. If you asked the Order they would probably say they are always in a state of war with monsters. But a state of war does not mean a state of constant, large scale battle.

So assuming we get a new profile for New Year's, what do you bet it will be?

Untrue on multiple points:

There are human male rulers in a number of monster friendly nations, notably the emperor of one of the Mist continent factions.

Many monsters obey local human rulers above even the Mamono Lord. Cities don't have much of any "rampaging" going on unless it's part of the city's culture.

Incubus khepri kings and the Hero beg to differ. Even in Lescatie the former king Castor is still regarded by many monsters and humans as a ruler of Lescatie due to his great influence.

There are male gods, including Bacchus (potentially, it's unclear), and at least one that's only been mentioned in tweets so far I think (maybe it's Hephasteus, I can't recall).

Old comment I know, but felt like clarifying that's not how power growth works for incubi. They get universally resilient, but they still have to work at it and develop skill to actually become powerful fighters. Further, some are always going to be stronger than others. This is in part due to how while your power via mamono mana does keep growing, once it reaches a certain point (namely that of a low rank deity) power growth slows to a crawl.
