Unlike land predators, most sharks have their eyes on the sides of their head to allow for a wider field of view, but this comes at the cost of not having binocular vision, which grants better depth perception and visual acuity. However, thanks to the unique shape of its head, the hammerhead shark manages to have binocular vision in front of it, while still maintaining its near-360 degree field of view! Isn't that jawsome?
