I've been having weird fantasies about characters for a while, but as for that specific kind, I think it's been about five years. It started some time during highschool and hasn't stopped, but it's comforting that it's always there to go back to in a way. When she said "the onii-chan in my head", that's what really got to me.
If you mean you don't fantasize about yourself looking the way you are, I understand. I usually imagine myself looking a lot different when I have those kinds of fantasies too.
