Higurashi has soul. I don't know how else to describe it.
There's just something incredibly soothing, comfortable about its atmosphere that no other 07th novel was able to replicate.
I feel at home in Hinamizawa, I feel like these characters are my friends, my family.
Umineko may be a brilliant mystery, a glorious love story and an epic shounen battle novel, but it lacks soul.
I don't want to live in the Rokkenjima mansion, I don't even want to be near it.
Anyone else had this experience?

Do you remember the first time you've read Higurashi? The pure comfyness in this idyllic village, the dread of experiencing Keiichi's paranoia first-hand, the feeling of having wonderful friends?
Do you remember being filled with rage at seeing Satoko's broken state while your heart melts together with Keiichi's, ready to bash Teppei's head in with a metalbat for good? The sheer despair you felt as you realized that all of your neighbors, family and friends are died, taken by an unstoppable natural disaster while you're the only one left? Your shock at finding out what, and who, truly was responsible for said disaster?
Do you remember it, /jp/?

And can you tell me why, instead of relishing these memories, you're here, posting about Satoko's cunny and trashtalking these wonderful characters while talking about licking your nieces pussy in secret?
