Yeah, the entire situation is just bizarre. Hanyuu tells Rika that she used up all of her power and can not longer help her, and the visuals clearly support the idea of Hanyuu's remnant falling apart, but then she just goes on to confront Eua as if nothing happened. It's like they had multiple writers fighting over the direction of the story, and the victor didn't even give enough of a shit to let Hanyuu understand the full situation and the scope of Eua's involvement.

The entire show has just been a long string of weird decisions, such as how they never even bothered to cover the little thing about Satoko killing her own parents. There's just no build-up towards Satoko's dependency on Rika, and they just come out and tell us, "yeah, she wants to be with Rika forever", and spent most of their 39 episodes recapping shit that's pretty much completely irrelevant to the main plot.
