Could have taken the route Mei did for its Sotsu event and make part of what makes her have a grudge against Rika also feel justified in killing to keep her being what she saw in the loops. Like Rika seemingly being happy when Satoshi disappears (which is even shown in the OG VN) and when her parents died (which is a Mei-only thing).

Although it's clear Tomato was trying to avoid people blaming anyone outside of clearly inhuman witches, which is probably why he tried to separate Satoko's witch motivations so much from her human ones, so no way he'd actually attempt to make OG Rika look -more- guilty.

R07 hasn't actually commented much on the 100 years loop, since it hasn't come up on the interviews, probably due to how quickly and seemingly irrelevant they were in the anime, so people aren't even remembering to ask questions about them. If anything that's one of the anime's biggest mistakes though.

Satoko looping for so long without human contact can basically be used as justification for her losing her humanity. It's even when we get Witch Eyes Satoko for the first time in the anime, but it receives no explanation at that point, when that scene could have been a huge dramatic moment if it had some kind of meaning to the viewers.

Also, regarding what she sees during the loops, dunno what Tomato will do, but Mei had Satoko blaming Rika for the deaths of her family and Satoshi's disappearance, since Rika knew about those events and did nothing since she liked Satoko going to live with her. She basically argues that they're the same (which, yeah, this take has its flaws too, since she's comparing Rika being passive in a way that benefits her with her actively killing people) but if the loops receive more emphasis these reveals could be shown breaking Satoko and giving birth to her witch side, making all her insanity afterwards more understandable since she wouldn't even be thinking as a human anymore
