no idea. it's probably "if you have to ask" for JAV hoard amounts of storage, but out of curiosity, I looked into it. it goes without saying that their pricing is beyond convoluted.
>S3 Glacier Deep Archive *** - For long-term data archiving that is accessed once or twice in a year and can be restored within 12 hours
>All Storage / Month $0.00099 per GB
This works out to exactly $0.99 per 1000 GB.
>Amazon S3 storage usage is calculated in binary gigabytes (GB), where 1 GB is 230 bytes. This unit of measurement is also known as a gibibyte (GiB), defined by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). Similarly, 1 TB is 240 bytes, i.e. 1024 GBs.
Oh thank fuck they're using ACTUAL computer "giga" and not SI giga. $1.01376/TB/mo
Deep Archive has a minimum storage interval of 180 days. So if you upload something and delete it after 1 month, they'll still bill you for storing it for 5 more.
But that's just to store it.
>Retrieval
>Standard (12 hours) $0.02 per GB
>Bulk (48 hours) $0.0025 per GB.
Say you have a modest hoard of 1 TB. kek. You upload it. It costs $1/mo to store on papa Jeff's server farm. You accidentally delete your favorite JULIA video - 10 GB. You can download it again in 12 hours - so still faster than debrid-let RG speeds - for 20 cents. If you're OK with waiting 2 days, it's only 2 cents.
You encounter a catastrophic hard drive failure. You must retrieve all of your JAV. It costs $2.56/TB if you're OK with waiting up to 2 days - or $25.60 if you want it tonight.
There are tiers that have faster retrieval, but the entire pricing structure changes...
>S3 Glacier Flexible Retrieval (Formerly S3 Glacier) ***- For long-term backups and archives with retrieval option from 1 minute to 12 hours
>All Storage / Month $0.0036 per GB
So now your terabyte costs $3.6864 to store. BUT
>Retrieval
>Expedited (1-5 minutes) - $10 per 1,000 API requests - $0.03/GB
>Standard (3-5 hours) - $0.05 per 1,000 API requests - $0.01/GB
>Bulk (12 hours) - ***
>***S3 Glacier Flexible Retrieval Bulk data retrievals and requests are free of charge.
>Provisioned Capacity Unit **** $100.00 per unit
>**** Provisioned Capacity Units allow you to provision capacity for expedited retrievals from S3 Glacier for a given month. Each provisioned capacity unit can provide at least three expedited retrievals every five minutes and up to 150 MB/s of retrieval throughput.
I don't know if that last one means you can pay for the provisioning and then...just use it without getting billed the expedited retrieval rate. Because downloading 150 MB/s non-stop for a month would come out to 371 TB.

Note, as far as I'm concerned, any S3 storage tier above Glacier is not worth it. At those prices, I'm content with (and actually use) Wasabi for shit I might need NOW access to. $5.99/TB although it just went up a bit. No egress charges. Plays nice with Cloudflare too.
