After some fucking around I finally found out how to add new characters in EratohoK, for some reason it didn't like UTF-8 in the character CSV, swapping to UTF-16 seemed to take it, by duplicating the most important Touhou character, Jumpy Villager. It might need further tweaking in the ERB files to move the ranges for certain functions, and eventually create events if you are dedicated, or a masochist, some new portrait defines to be made in the folder and you have a new character. Unfortunately defining the character itself is a bit of a pain in the ass via the csv files as I have no clue what is what and custom characters are serialized so there is no avenue that way.
