Since its inception, to be specific. Old /jp/ was a lot improved than the /jp/ you see now. Roleplaying was encouraged, no one got tremendously bent out of shape over tripcodes, fanfiction was written on occasion, people engaged in conversations without throwing shit at each other like fat, neckbearded monkeys...it was really a magical wonderland, a throwback to pre- 2006 4chan.

One by one they would swear fealty and pay tribute to Her Royal Highness, lining our coffers with gold and increasing the size and might of our army.

The young soldier I would have knighted and eventually put her in the role of commanding Her Royal Highness's army, after a few victories. Then, after enough of the realm has risen in support, I'd suggest that she mount an attack on the throne. Once the city has been sacked, their soldiers killed down to a man, and her sisters brought out at swordpoint for justice to be done by them, the crown would be set on her head.
From there, I would continue to advise her and secretly maintain control from the sidelines. In reality, she would be little more than a puppet being moved by my command, but for all intents and purposes it would seem as though she were the supreme ruler.

A long time ago, when /jp/ was considerably less infested with newfriends, there was a board-based VN called 'You Wake Up In Gensokyo'.
One write-Anon participated in making the threads, and the rest of the board participated in playing.
All was well, and most people enjoyed the diversion. But they were all of them deceived, for this peace would not last for long.
Mootle did not like the concept of a board that was in perfect harmony, and so, to spread woe and discord, he wielded the Banhammer with such efficiency that a full stop was put to any and all YWUIG threads. That was the end of the Golden Age.
