The obsessive fan market eats that shit up, and the industry is forced to repeat.

I hate the companies that create anime.

They depend on socially anxious/ostracized otakus remaining solitary and turning to masturbating to imaginary girls and purchasing copious amounts of figurines, doujins and dakis. They basically profit from our seclusion and loneliness. They also mock the viewer in a subtle fashion in their scripts; it's insulting.
