Tomato recently posted about how Meguri would greatly diverge from the anime soon, so I don't think what happens there will even be able to really fill in the gaps of the anime like what it has done so far once we get to the loops. I'd guess all the early Satoko looping stuff might end up very different there.

The anime itself handles Satoko's progression and overall experiences really oddly when it gets to that point, although in general it feels like the anime writer really didn't want to tie character points to the loop/witch stuff, doing only the minimal amount of work necessary by R07's outline.

Satoko already becomes a killer in the 1st loop, but then just doesn't kill anyone else again for a while.

However, Satoko is already killing herself flashily with no pain from her second loop.

Then she decides to watch the 100 years and the anime just skips over all that, in spite of it being the first scene, chronologically, with witch eyes Satoko.
Then after the big announcement about starting her game with Rika... she's actually still running around doing random tests and preparation.

Then we don't even get to see the moment where the game actually starts and Rika is dragged to the loops, which is just baffling.

Then now Satoko is bothered by the pain of death and decides to get a gun, not during her long preparation phase.

We see one glimpse of Witch Satoko seemingly regretting what she's doing in Oniakashi, but in Wataakshi, she infects and kills Mion for pure curiosity. And THEN she regrets stuff again next after showing no remorse at all here.

Then none of that matters when we get to the final episode and it's all about St.Lucia, with the stuff tied to looping and witches (like looper allergy and somehow Satoko looping for centuries in St.Lucia or them needing to stay away from each other for a a while to avoid getting bored due to their eternal existences) being just random sentences thrown there completely separate from the rest of the narrative.
