I don't disagree, every chapter of Higurashi is different. They just follow the same broad formula that makes it much more of a slog to get through than Umineko which jumps right into the action.

You're saying here that the only parts that carry over is the part that's important and links together the entire story from chapter to chapter, and is one of the most interesting parts of Umineko. Yes, that is true.

I mean, I don't want to spoil it for the other anon who was asking but you literally have it backwards. It's the events of the message bottle murders that aren't real, whereas the magic metaworld stuff is arguably real.
