If it was for a waifu I'd understand (I've done it myself, several times) but an oshimen isn't a waifu. An idol is just another blood and flesh animalistic woman out there who couldn't give two shits about you and what you do with your life; it is her work to be celibate, not yours; your job is to give her your $UPORT for entertaining you and remaining proper, so she's a prostitute of sorts which is all a real woman can be insofar as such (marriage is also an institutionalized form of slavery and prostitution, of course).

I'm not saying I don't celebrate you prefering love over sex, just saying that actually loving an idol is a bad idea.
