I think it a combination of accepted and the elixir keeping her brain and hormones perfectly balanced, but I sure she can still get sad and angry, i guess over time she learn that staying angry and sad about her fate isn't going to do anything, so just try to live life happily as best as possible. no matter how you look at it the fact that she remind strong is quite amazing.
