Alright, found it. The real problematic classes were "ShipConfig" (logbook.config) and "GlobalContext" (logbook.data.context). They both make use of the static method "Ship.set()" and were changing the translated names with the Japanese ones that kept coming from the Kancolle servers. What I did was adding some code just before the call to that method, checking if the ship to be "set" already existed (Ship.get(id)) and keeping the translated name. If you don't find it right away I can put it on pastebin.
