So /jp/ I've been trying to get into some J-rock bands other than just what I've heard from anime. Bands I like that have songs in animu include Donten, Bivattchee, and Aikawa Nanase (although from everything I've heard of hers, I still only like No Future).
I don't listen to Japanese music often, I mostly listen to:
90's alternative / rock (like RHCP, Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead)
Contemporary alternative (Bloc Party, Death Cab for Cutie, The Postal Service)
Some punk (NOFX, Rancid, Antiflag)
Some emo (Hawthorne Heights, Taking Back Sunday)

From what I like, what J-rock (or J-pop) bands might I like? They don't have to not be in any anime OP / ED. It's just that if they are I might have heard them already.
