Which makes no reference to fate, so I don't know if you conflated Sagume with Remilia or something but fate itself should be completely irrelevant in discussions about Sagume.

Not quite. If Sagume says "my ability will work", then either one of two things will happen: either her ability will work or it won't. If her ability did work, then it'd negate her statement and hence make her ability not work, on the other hand if her ability did work, then her ability should not work since her ability would need to negate her statement. Both lead to contradictions and it's not one that could be swept under the rug by discarding LEM since by causality an event must either happen or not happen.
