it only took me a few box and hammer times to train most to poo in toilet. Even then you can just pick a stray that is already potty-trained. Potty-trained yukkuri can also punish scum that poop outside of the toilet which will immediately train them.

I think something cool just happened, although it might have been various mechanics coincidentally lining up. The old marisa didn't work out so I had to dispose of her so I brought in a new one, and this new maricha was about to poo outside the toilet when Reimu hopped over and I thought she was going to punish scum, but instead said something, which made Marisa reconsider and not only went to the toilet, but Marisa poo'd the correct way instead of the usual over the head. The Reimu is training the yukkuri to poo correctly without my intervention.

Eight Views. It's arguably the best Yukkuri game out right now if you don't mind learning the buttons since the UI isn't translated (but it has pictures). It only has Reimu and Marisa currently but it has really great interactivity and feedback and updates every week.
