There's hidden gold there so Lina and party go to get it, Xellos wants to stir up trouble so he throws his daughter on the island before they arrive in a plan to make LoN go out of control. LoN goes out of control as planned and wipes out the island and the happenings of each 'game' by messing up the world so badly it gets stuck in some sort of fucked up time loop so the events keep happening. Beato was just another ex-servant of Gaav's so this all needed to be done to destroy her.
