Thing is that they still make money. Probably alot of money. I don't wanna know what their merch sales are like. Those photocards? Fuck me.
And the singles end up in the top-10, no problem, they even had a #1 single last year which is quite impressive for a "over-the-hill xD" idol group. Shows are still attended. Ticket prices for good seats are probably enough to make you do a spit-take.
It's not hard to understand why they're still around.
