Unlike Airi or Riho (and loli Risako), Masaki isn't naive.

Airi/Riho started with blank personalities and the major part of why they got popular is because they were blank so wotas could project their phantasies on them.
Just look back at Riho. Listen to her radio-shows and how she evolved. What wotas ask her and purpose her to do. And how she turned out now. just look at how much fanservice she does now after they kept comparing her to Dan Mitsu. Riho accepted her role.

Girls like Masaki, Chinami, Hagiwara etc. will never get popular out of this reason. They show too much that they have their own mind.
