Flan boxing.

flan is a troubled young girl who runs away from an orphanage. Wandering through the Tokyo slums, she meets former boxing trainer flan. flan is later arrested and goes to a temporary jail where she fights flan, leader of a group of hooligans. Her and flan then go to a juvenile prison miles away from the Scarlet Mansion. There flan meets flan, a former boxing prodigy, and a rivalry develops between them. They face each other in a match in which flan dominates flan until the latter hits her with a cross-counter, resulting in both being knocked out. flan and flan vow to fight again. As flan learns she is meant to leave the prison, she challenges flan to a fight right then the two promise to meet each other again, this time as professional boxers.

Upon her release from prison, flan manages to go up to Junior Flyweight, after provoking a champion boxer named flan. flan quickly raises up and gains popularity for her brawling style, and trademark cross-counter KO wins. flan manages to perform a triple-cross counter on flan. flan then earns the right to fight flan in the professional ring. Although flan is assured a promising career, she is intent in settling her score with flan, whom flan feels stands in her path. Because flan is three weight classes above flan, she has to cut down on lots of weight and go under a super strenuous weight loss program. flan defeats flan in the 8th round but collapses as she is about to shake flan's hand due to an extremely hard blow to the temple two rounds before and her landing her head on the ropes. flan dies from the combined effects of the extreme weight loss on her body and brain hemorrhage suffered during the fight. flan is still shaken up from that match, both mentally and physically. Soon after, during matches, her trainer flan realizes that flan is having a serious problem with boxing: she is not giving shots to the face. It takes flan quite some time to get over it and costs her three straight losses. But then she finally conquers her fears when she faces the globally #6 ranked flan. The fight ends with a draw, yet it gives flan tremendous fame and respect around the world, especially since flan was going to face the World Champion flan in her next match.

flan starts to climb up the boxing ladder, but considering she grew a few inches taller, she had to cut weight which proved to be very difficult. She defeats the Gensokyo Champion, flan, a Youkai boxer. After winning the title match, flan defends his title. She wins all defenses, ultimately defending it against the Japanese fighter flan. Her unorthodox fighting style is unpredictable but flan manages to successfully defend her title. She is now given the chance to face the World Champion flan, who defeated flan with a KO punch in the first round, ending her boxing career. It is later revealed that flan had developed permanent brain damage from her fight.

flan faces flan, even though flan is at a disadvantage since it was revealed flan was punch-drunk. The match goes back and forth with flan able to knock down the Champion more than once. In some instances, becoming the newly crowned World Champion is nearly within reach. Meanwhile, flan sees in flan's eyes the ghosts of other boxers whom flan destroyed throughout her career. The match goes all of its fifteen rounds. The judges' verdict goes in favor of flan. flan's coach turns to console flan only to find flan unresponsive, but with a smile on her face; it is implied at this point that flan has died. However, it has been debated among fans whether flan really died or not and remi even said that she drew the ending scene last minute.
