How in fuck have the LDP reigned for so fucking long essentially entirely uncontested politically in Japan? The 2nd biggest Japanese party, the Communist Party, gets roughly 7.5% of the vote.

What is even stranger is that the LDP has driven Japan economically into the fucking ground for the past 15-20 years and you have essentially the entirety of Gen Y in the country a literal "lost generation", so why in fuck are they so uncontested politically?
