For anyone actually curious-
The first part of FGO's story revolves around the biblical king Solomon and the store is filled with biblical references. Mash (or マシュ Mashu in JP) is likely derived from either Matthew (マシュー Mashuu in JP) or Mesech (メシェク Mesheku in JP).

Prior to FGO's official English localization they once directly translated her name as Matthew in pic related official art but later altered it to just Mash for the actual EN release after they realized that would be fucking weird to actual English speakers.
