The ideas for the ending were interesting. Like what happens when Tamamori succumbs to madness caused by losing his close ones and abuses his powers to drive himself from another timeline with him. If the plot would've had ended only on those notes, I really would've enjoyed it as a solid what-if ending.
But no. the writer had to shove in some creepy sex scenes. It's not the "we're not blood related so it's not incest" part. It's what you've pointed out - this is straight disgusting and makes no sense considering other plot points. Hell, if the game was a simple nukige no one would've bat an eye.
And the comment in the extras about Shopkeeper keeping Kaoru in the basement so that he won't be able to smell his pheromones? This is almost some Fritzl level shit.

Professor did not deserve being left almost blind next to the bodies of his maid. The fact that Tamamori reached a timeline where he lived with Professor implies that he had some affection for him after all. It still made the romance shallow (but at least the sex scene was fun and perverted).
I think that with Kawase it was love after all. The shopkeeper was the bitter and mad version of Tamamori, who failed to save Minakami. No wonder that version of him still harboured those feelings.The Kawase-route version of him had another experiences. Also, Kawase did genuinely care about Tamamori, despite his sadistic tendencies. Hell, during his "defile and rape" shenanigans he actually cared if Tamamori was hurting and etc.
