Anime is otaku, right?

This show is awesome. I love it so much. But then again I'm a military otaku so whatever.

Why not go goth? You know, the gothic counterculture has a lot of similarities with the otaku one. You'll be able to make a lot of great new friends, too! Let me list off a few commonalities I've spotted:

Otaku and goths share...
- an intense disliking of "normals"
- devotion to fictional characters
- crazy chicks. You thought fujoshi were bad?!
- a detachment from reality to live in some kind of fantasy world
- cosplay. And how!
- varying levels of agoraphobia
- the chronic emotional masturbation of self loathing / self disgust

Well, she left the house to see me, so I'm guessing she can't really be a hikki. But she spends a lot of time inside. On the other hand, she's unemployed and unenrolled (in lack of better words), so although she's not a hikikomori, she is very much a NEET.

What are your favorite books of the Bible, /jp/? This is relevant to otaku culture because many Japanese works contain elements of Christianity and other Western religions, and understanding of the Bible can lead to wisdom and happiness.

My top three:
- Job (interesting look at God and Satan)
- Ecclesiastes (very wise and noble)
- Mark (interesting look at Jesus and His life)

And to all the atheists/Muslims/agnostics/Christians on here that haven't read it before: the Bible's not really hard reading. All of the books in it are very short. It's just a little tedious in some places with some translations. If you have a good translation with annotations, you can probably finish it in under a week.

Westerners express their feelings / emotions through writing by writing with green text (>that feel when is an example). How do the japanese express their anger through writing, when they have no green text?

I'm guessing that otaku have shittier diets than most people. What do you eat? As for me:

- Hot Pockets (pizza flavor)
- Top ramen (chicken and picante beef)
- Chips
- Rice
- Apples
- Pepperoni sandwiches
- Microwave chicken wings
- Burger King fries / onion rings / chicken / hamburgers
- Pepperoni pizza

I really can't think of anything else right now. What do you eat?
