In light of recent events I wanted to voice my controversial take on Gura

Her fucking hoodie sucks, and her design in general was pretty lazy. Her rigging sucks as well. She literally carried the shit out of it through the sheer force of her talent.

This whole argument about Gura's design carrying her doesn't even make sense. She's the one who has the most to say about her design and what direction it goes

IF Kiara's design was awful, she could have requested some things to improve it. The truth is she LIKED her idol outfit design with all that shit attached to it. Gura is literally a master at knowing what sticks in people's heads. Don't make me post that roommate picture, but I'm putting money down she helped Ame with her input or at least discussed it with her.
Everyone highly rates Ame's design too.

They let you have limited input for your avatar but dont expect to keep the one you already have.
More often than not you and your designer will discuss 5/10 themes related to your alter name or keyfabe persona or personality or whatever and thats it. For example Gura is a shark because snzw's vtuber avatar said shaaark a lot in her anime, and Kiara is a chicken because her roomate's stage name kind of sounds like kickyricky. DD is a demon therefore Mori is a shinigami.
