Extra is fucking great, very funny and it never drags.
Among all the moe school life type eroge, it's top tier.
Unlimited is a great build-up to Alternative, explain the world to great length, develop the cast very well and it has a fucking awesome ending.

I can't think of one I liked over all.
Maybe MuvLuv and Alt as a whole, playing them was a long but extremely fulfilling experience.
But I also loved Sharin no Kuni, Swan Song, Clover Heart's G-senjou no Maou, Scarlett, Hello World, Tsuyokiss, Air, Clannad and Eien no Aselia.
I guess I'm someone who can like a lot of different genres.
And I've been getting into Liar-soft recently, Forest is probably going to become one of my favorite too.

Episode 1 was good but episode 2 was far too weird and not in a good way. I liked episode 1 better than Higurashi though.
To answer OP, Muv-Luv easily, it has everything I love in one big package.

Why? Clannad is solid and deliver really well, I think it's worthy of being number 1 for some people.
